A favorite of do-it-yourselfers, the Ship Shape TV 2007 season will now present boat owners with in-depth tips on engine maintenance and repair. Yanmar Marine USA Corp and Ship Shape TV have entered into a multi-year partnership, including Yanmar sponsorship of the show's new "In the Engine
Room" segment. Company president Tom Calhoun made the announcement.
"This new segment is going to open the door to a wealth of information that boaters must know in order to better get a handle on the powertrains on their pleasure boats," said Ship Shape TV host John Greviskis. "Think of it as having a MacGyver in your engine room."
Each episode will include "In the Engine Room," where Greviskis and Yanmar take viewers down into the bilge and show them how to perform basic maintenance and repairs. The 3-5 minute segments will cover essential projects such as changing the oil or alternator belt.
"We're extremely proud to have Yanmar Marine as our first sponsor in this topic category," said Greviskis.
