Our boat name is the "Q E Too". This is the name that was attached to the boat when we purchased it used. It is a professionally done logo which can be viewed at:
http://carlten.tripod.com/2004_cruise/2004.htmlI suspect this name was chosen by possibly the original owner when it was a rental boat in California. I can just imagine how the rental might have been advertized: "Rent the Q E Too".
We have had three other boats, only the first of which was named personally. It was a 17-foot plywood runabout with cuddy cabin which I built from a Sears Roebuck kit. I named it "Skipjack" after an island in the San Juans, Washington, which I had visited as a child. Our next boat, a fiberglas 21-foot Reinell cabin cruiser, never had a name attached but was unofficially the "Skipjack II". Our next boat, a wooden Owens cabin cruiser, was previously named "Sue Marie" which we kept.
