Hoping someone can help me out with this. I was on my boat last weekend and was having some radio issues. I was unable to receive the weather station while in the marina (I can ALWAYS get the weather station), and I got no replies to a "radio check" call. I asked for help from a boat next to me, who said he could hear me but just barely. I could hear him fine. The next morning I was receiving the weather station, and a radio check call resulted in a a "loud and clear" response from a respectable distance.

I checked the antenna connection to the radio. Can anyone think of a way I can troubleshoot this to see if it is a problem with the radio or the antenna/wiring, short of getting another radio and seeing if it works better?
